Some pics from the week Commuting...

I`m real lucky getting to commute by bike to work most days, never mind be able to ride off road with as big a detour en route as i wish/have time for...
Cycling to work  is so refreshing, you have time to relax and think, do you know another form of exercise that is so relaxing?...

I find it a time when i can clear my head and make plans, for the day ahead at work,
And then riding home unwind and forget about the day`s work and make plans for the evening and what i want to do...
Most people in cars you pass on your commute are rushing about like headless chickens, many just wanting to get from A-B and  focused on the road or car infront. Cycling i look near everywhere except the road ahead!.
So many people say they never have got the time to get out and exercise etc.  Many though are wrapped up chasing the career carrot, and  then home to the family, most of this is excuses as once the family are in bed they sit down in front of the TV and fall asleep watching mind numbing game show programmes  pushing junk food down their throats ...
Do i remind you of a famous Scottish film?,  set in Edinburgh?
Excuse the swearing mum and Lizzie!

I am glad i chose something else...
That is i chose a drug free lifestyle enjoying what is on my doorstep getting high on life...
I don`t watch much TV, too busy doing stuff, but i do remember this programme, this quote sums up so many people who make excuses to not do things that involve getting off their backsides...

Anyways your life is what you make of it, and i do know that when cycling to work you absorb your surroundings more on a bicycle than cocooned in a car and the 360 degree views are amazing whatever the time of year...

Into work on the black drop bar Karate Monkey...

The black Surly Karate Monkey is back to being a Monster-Cross...

Or is that a Monkey-Cross...

Or a Cross-Monkey...

Is this bonkers or Conkers?

  1. The benefits of biking, or a better way to get around - I like the theme of this post, and the Karate Monkey looks perfectly built for those dirt tracks.
